CMRC Children's Memorial Research Center

Are you 12- to 20-years-old and have asthma?
Do you live in one of these ZIP codes? 60606, 60607, 60608, 60610, 60612, 60622, 60623, 60624, 60651? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a national research study conducted by the Division of Allergy. The project is part of the Inner City Asthma Consortium, and your participation will contribute to advancing asthma care across the country.

Participants will receive at no cost

Asthma care by a doctor who specializes in asthma
Asthma medicines and education
Breathing tests to check lung function
Allergy testing and education
Participation and time requirements

Eight visits to Allergy services at the Children's Memorial Outpatient Center within one year
Take asthma medicine as directed by our asthma specialist
Give a small sample of blood at two of the visits and urine at five of the visits
Participant must not be pregnant or nursing during the study.
Participant must not have used tobacco in the past year.
You will be reimbursed for your time and transportation.
