C8161 human melanoma cells engaged in the early stages of vasculogenic-like network formation in vitro

Video of highly aggressive C8161 human melanoma cells on a collagen I matrix during 24 hours after seeding in a glass imaging chamber. The tumour cells are engaged in the early stages of vasculogenic-like network formation. The images were collected at a rate of 17.8 min/frame using DIC optics and 20X objective. The movie has a frame rate of 10 frms/min. The frames were merged from 5X5 neighboring microscopic fields, covering an area of 1.75mm X 1.37mm.
