| Our lab focuses on how to regenerate myocardium and/or prevent cardiomyopathy using novel strategies. Our primary approach is to study resident cardiac stem cells and how they change in the pediatric congenital myocardium. Secondly we study the role of small molecules in preventing cardiomyopathy. Lastly, we examine a tissue engineering approach to improve the myocardium in cardiomyopathy patients. |
